The Pointers needed a win to secure their spot in the 5A State Tourney and they got the win in Game 2. Weston Wilcox was stellar on the mound going the complete game giving up 3 hits and 1 earned run. He helped his cause at the plate going 1-2, 2RBI, BB.
Senior catcher Peyton Pschier was 2-4 with 2R and had a huge throw out at 2nd on Russellville's lead off speedster trying to steal.
Ethan Bowen went 1-2 BB 2R.
The win puts the Pointers as the 3 seed in the 5A State Tourney at Harrison on May 9-11.
